How The AVACEN Warming Therapy Works:
Your hand plays an important role in your thermal regulation. It contains a unique heat exchange vascular network that distributes blood throughout the hand. The AVACEN 100 is designed to use this unique network to thin and warm the blood before it returns to the heart for distribution throughout the body.
For the therapy, you simply put on one of the sanitary mitts, then insert your hand into the unit and your therapist will start the session. You’ll hear the sound of a vacuum being created and feel the cuff gently seal around your wrist. Your hand rests comfortably on a pad that begins to gently heat up your palm, which will distend this vascular network while thinning the blood and increasing flow. As this warmer blood leaves the hand, it begins its soothing journey to the places it’s needed the most…the places that hurt.
This warmed blood travels through your deep tissue onto the peripheral capillary network in an effort to dissipate this excess heat and keep you at normal body temperature.
